• Short Summary: A year after the show, Tina and Zack get some news they weren’t expecting but who ends up disappointed in the end?

This was definitely not what they had planned. Tina and Zack had been together for about a year now and were living together in California with their dog and occasionally Kayla. Things had been going well for the two but now Tina was faced with something that she wasn’t sure if they could smooth over with another crazy round of sex. In fact that’s kind of what put them in this situation. With these two, the future was more implied than discussed. They were both too involved with the now to worry about where they would be two years from now. Tina sighed and looked back down at the little plus sign. Zack was going to flip when she told him the news. 

Tina tossed the test in the small trash can and walked out of their small bathroom, knowing she had a few hours before he came home from the garage he worked at. Their dog, Jester, looked up at her as she walked by before deciding she was better off not bothered and rolling back over to ignore her pacing. It’s not like they couldn’t provide for a baby, or even that they couldn’t handle one. She was just insanely nervous that maybe he wasn’t ready for this with her. What if he didn’t see them getting that serious? Okay. She needed to calm down now before she stressed out too much. She needed to call someone. Artie was out of the picture completely because he would show up at her doorstep, ready to beat Zack into a pulp… or well try to at least. 

She needed to talk to someone. Preferably someone who would calm her down rather than freak her out even more. Tina pulled her phone from her jeans pocket and called the one person she knew would help her out in the situation. It rang sharply and she chewed on her bottom lip as she anxiously waited for the person on the other end to pick up. She heard a cheery voice on the other end. “SamIam? I need your wisdom.” Tina sat down on their plush couch and sighed, trying to gather her thoughts before starting in on her problems. He could tell there was something bugging her by the slight edge to her tone. “I’m pregnant.” She breathed out in a short puff of air. Honestly she felt so much better to finally have it out in the open to at least one person and from the sound of it, Sam was taking the news well. “Um is there a problem with this? Tee, you’re great with kids. Why are you freaking out?” Tina laughed and felt her body relax into the cushions and a smile pull on her lips. “Well I was thinking that maybe Zack was going to flip out at me but now you’re making me feel like an idiot! Why do I even call your ass anymore?”

They bantered back and forth for about a half an hour, talking about how Sam and Bella have been for the last month or so since they’d all gotten together. Turns out Sam was thinking of popping the question tomorrow night at dinner and Tina got overly excited, excusing herself and blaming the extra hormones and claiming she had to go. A quick look at the clock showed her that Zack would be home soon and she needed to be mentally prepared to tell him the news. After about thirty seconds of trying to ready herself, Tina was straightening up the living room, doing anything to keep from sitting still. When she heard the key in the lock the small girl sat on her hands so she wouldn’t look like she’d drank a case or two of redbull before he got home. He walked straight into the living room and laid across the couch with his head in her lap. “Should I even ask how work went or is this my clue to shut up?” She laughed slightly and leaned to press a kiss to his forehead. 

“Long day babe. We’ll skip it and you can tell me that your day was better.” This was an everyday occurrence for the two. They would meet up at home after work and bet who had the better day. Usually the loser had to do dishes or something as menial as that but it seemed like as good a time as any to spill her news.  ”Well, I went home early today because I wasn’t feeling well and then came home and found out why. I took a pregnancy test babe.” She took a small pause to let that sink in and also so she could take a small breath before continuing. “I’m pregnant Zack. About 2 months along now I’m guessing.” There was a few long moments of silence in which Tina wished the couch would open up and swallow her whole. 

In the next moment, Zack was standing up and pulled her up from the couch and into his arms, slowly moving her in a circle. She was completely stunned into silence, still not sure if she was imagining the whole thing. His laughter brought her back down to earth. “Tee. You okay?” The man asked, sitting her back on her feet in front of him. With a small shake of her head she felt her whole body felt a jolt. “Wait.” She said shortly, holding her hands up in between them. “You’re okay with this? Like you’re not kicking me out and telling me another story about your damn harem?” They both laughed and Tina stretched up to plant a kiss on his lips. “Tina, I already have one kid. Why do you think I was gonna freak out over having one with you? Tee I love you.” 

Tina jumped into his arms and peppered his face with kisses. “Shit I was so worried baby!” Zack turned and sat down on the couch with Tina sitting astride his lap. They sat there staring at each other for a few minutes before laughing at how ridiculous they were being. Zack was the first to break the comfortable silence. “I didn’t plan the first one either but I love her ore than anything so I’d say we’re gonna be okay Tee.” The Asian leaned down to capture his lips with hers so he could stop talking. “Please stop.” She mumbled against his lips. “You being all sappy is almost as bad  as you trying to tell me about all the girls you could have.” She rolled her eyes and before he could open his mouth again, she was shutting him up with her lips. 

He pulled away to push a piece of hair behind her ear and flashed his charming smile up at her. “So someone’s gonna have to tell the other gals in the harem that I’m gonna be too busy to visit for awhile.” Without saying a word, Tina got up from his lips and smirked as she turned her back to him and went to the kitchen to start dinner. “Babe?” Zack called after her. “Tina? I was kidding!”
