The day started as any other. Raven!Tina woke up to the sound of Cyborg!Zack and BeastBoy!Sam playing their video games so loud it rang through the whole tower. If she was forced to see the sunlight for a good eight hours a day then you’d think they’d at least let her get a few extra hours of sleep in here and there. In the last week, crime had been down in the city which had given her more time to relax when Starfire!Molly wasn’t trying to braid her hair or something. That alien chick was pretty much a whack job as far as she was concerned. Their so called leader, Robin!Davlin was in the command center as she passed headed for the kitchen. As soon as Tina walked into the kitchen, she turned around and left, not wanting to fall victim to another one of Molly’s attempts in cooking. Tina wandered back out into the living room, grabbing a book from the bookshelf in the corner and sitting herself in the chair furthest the game play in the center of the room. No matter how much the Gothic hero liked to say she hated these people around her, the truth was they were her family and helped her save the city on an almost daily basis.

Suddenly Molly came rushing into the room, waving her long limbs and floating about screaming about her home planet. Tina looked up, back down, and flipped another page almost completely ignoring the poor girl. There was nothing to worry about. Molly would run off to Davlin and he would admonish her for not being a team player or something to which she’d send an energy blast at Sam and head back to her dark room for solace. It was how their little family worked. Her hand reached out in front of her to stop a flying pizza crust from colliding with her head and looking up to glare at the boys trying to look innocent on the couch. Her eyes turned black and the aura around her became visible as she rose off the chair towards the cowering boys. Sam was the first to crack as always. “Wait! Tina it wasn’t me! Besides you looked so grumpy we thought you needed a little silly to cheer you up. Heh heh.” He gave a feeble laugh before swiftly jumping over the couch and disappearing behind it. She switched her eyes to Zack and flared her aura again to see if he would fall like the other boy. Instead he gave her a defiant smirk and shrugged. “You gotta learn to loosen up T. Life ain’t that serious babe.” A small growl made it’s way from her mouth as she tried to calm herself. Emotions were bad. She had to remember to keep herself calm. “Don’t. Call. Me. Babe.” Tina ground out before turning to float back to her chair and book.

After a few moments, the sullen teen found herself back into the book and she easily focused on the words in front of her. Not ten minutes after starting to read again, she felt a presence over her shoulder while she was reading which everyone knew was a no no. Why everyone decided to test her control today was beside her. She slowly turned her head to see a smiling Molly to her left, pretending to read along with her. “Can I help you?” Tina said as emotionless as she could. “Tinnnaaa.” She head Davlin warn in his peace maker voice from across the room. Somehow of all the teens, Davlin was able to pick out when she was close to her breaking point and tried to reel her in before she caused any real damage. “I’m not going to hurt your princess, Davlin. Chill.” With a sigh the raven haired beauty turned to Molly and kept her face as blank as she could. “Yes, Molly? How can I help you today?”

You’d think someone threw her a parade the way the alien girl’s face lit up. “You will, please try my fast of the break, no?” It was a wonder she could even understand her with her stilted English the way it was. “No.” Tina stated as simply as she could without going into details. She closed her eyes and groaned as soon as the girl next to her let out the same whimper she did when she was about to blow a gas-cut. “Please Tina just… try it?” Davlin’s now feeble voice sounded over Molly’s sniffles and Tina heaved another large sigh. For some reason the fates were against her getting anything she wanted today. Maybe she should have stayed in bed after all. “Just eat the food Tee, damn!” She heard from Zack across the room. Looking up, Tina saw Sam cringe and look between the two. It was a constant battle in the tower whether there was a villain on the loose or not. “Fine!” Tina conceded sticking her hand out, palm up, ready to accept whatever she had coming. Suddenly she felt an oozy, lumpy cold… thing in her hand and she opened her eyes to see that it was green as well. She swallowed harshly before turning to Davlin. “What is this supposed to be?” He flashed her a bashful smile and scratched the back of his head as if apologizing for being wrapped around Molly’s pretty finger. “If I get sick, I expect to not to have to go out on the next mission and I want to be able to sleep in as I please.” It felt like she was negotiating a hostage situation before sighing. This was again a losing battle with the team. “Ugh!” She groaned before pushing it into her mouth and trying not to gag at the taste. Whatever this was, it couldn’t have been human at least. She hoped it was safe or else she’d be in bed for days. Which didn’t sound too bad now that she thought about it.

Everyone in the room was paused to look at her, gauging her reaction to whatever she’d just ingested. “Did no one else have to eat this?” She sent glares around the room, feeling like the butt of another one of their jokes. “Vegetarian!” She heard Sam call from across the room while Zack chuckled beside him. “Pizza.” He managed out and Davlin held up the toast he was half-way through. Tina slammed down her book and letting out a loud groan. “I don’t know why I even-” The loud sirens cut her off mid rant which was probably a good thing seeing as the objects around her were beginning to rise. “Looks like you’ll have to save that rant for later Tee. Too bad. I was looking forward to more of your whining.” Zack passed her laughing on their way down to the control center to see which bad guy they’d be facing this time. They were lucky. When they finished today Tina was going to have to think of something really good to get back at them with.
